Recently Adopted Dogs

Lucy (#10-024)

Lucy wants a new home. She is 6 years old, and oh so sweet. Lucy is good with children, and dogs. We do not know about cats. She comes to us with heartworm, so she will be treated for that immediately. She enjoys walks, and does quite well on lead. Car rides are always a fun thing for her. She will hop right in and gladly go wherever you go.

Tessie (#09-028)

Coming to us at the young age of 10 years, Miss Tessie is smiling on the world. She rides great in the car, and stands at the door waiting for another excursion. This sweetheart walks well on lead, is up to date on shots, spayed, and ready for her new home. Tessie gets along well with other dogs, and her foster sister insists on cleaning her face for her! She doesn't mind a bit. At 65 lbs, she is a smaller lab, but her love is not. She will stay close to you the minute you decide rubbing her is the thing to do. Although she is ten years old, she is fit and healthy. Tessie just wants her forever home to love her, care for her, and give her a comfy bed to lie on. Move your mouse over her picture to see more.

Trevor (#10-028)

This little yellow boy comes to us at the age of 4 months. He enjoys being around people, and recently attended a party where he was the center of attention and handled it well. Trevor enjoys playing with his foster brother and sister, and continues learning from them. He is a smart boy having learned to "ring the bell" to go outside. So far he has been accident free in the house. Trevor uses his crate willingly, and is learning to walk politely on a leash.

Zeppelin (#10-032)

A 2 year old 90 pounder has knocked on our door. He is a happy boy who loves to have his ears rubbed. Zeppelin likes to swim and retrieve. Being a big boy, he seems afraid of little dogs and goes the other way. A home with older children would be appropriate.

Baxter (#10-026)

This boy is a 1 year old neutered chocolate male. He is a big boy, weighing in around 80lbs. He is a lively, lovely, playful happy lab. Baxter enjoys retrieving sticks, going on hikes, walks, and rides in the car. Knowing sit, come, and lay down makes living with him easier. Baxter gets excited to meet new people because it says to him "a new friend and stick thrower" has come to see ME. He likes to carry around his blanket.Good with dogs, and cats.

Loden (#10-031)

Isn't he gorgeous!! Loden is a big boy who weighs around 100lbs. He is sweet, loving, and enjoys car rides. He is pleased with his foster brother, and quite fine with his 2 year old human foster sister. Loden does not realize he is a big boy, and would like to cuddle with you IN YOUR LAP!

Penny (#10-021)

Penny is an energetic 2 year old chocolate spayed female. She is good with cats and dogs, and best for older children due to her energy level. She has tested positive for Lymes disease, which Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond is treating her for. This sweet girl enjoys going for walks and playing tug of war. When in the home she wants to carry things in her mouth like socks, dish towels, slippers, stuffed toys, etc. This chocolate body of hers wiggles ALL DAY LONG. She weighs in at 68lbs.

Bailey (#10-023)

Bailey is a 10 month old typical lab puppy. She is learning her manners on leash, though not so great yet. This energy filled lab needs alot of exercise, and some training. As with any puppy, she needs some guidance on how the world around her works. She knows sit, stay, and down. Bailey enjoys playing with other dogs, though she hasn't figured out when it's time to stop. Her foster sister is teaching her this lesson right now. She rides well in the car, loves being rubbed, is cratetrained, and up to date on all her vaccines.
